 Today in art i got to listen to A Bug's Life while i was working... that's such a cute movie. We've watched Antz a bunch in there too, which i hate. A Bug's Life is so much cooler, and it's got Dave Foley!
Oh god, i watched Friends FOUR TIMES today! It's kinda strange, thinking back on my love for the show. I was incredibly obsessed with it in seasons 1-3 (like, 5th to 7th grade, and i was in love with David Schwimmer :)) and taped every single episode, then after that i still watched it but was less obsessed, and now i just love it all over again. I've been seeing the commercials for the season premiere, and i am so excited. Haha ahhhhhhh i'm such a nerd.
And i'm still playing solitaire constantly. It's getting kind of tiring, but i can't stop!

Ohhh, i was watching Friends today (just like every other day... it's my comfort show), and it's the one right after Ross and Rachel kissed for the first time (yesterday and today's episode i've seen soooooo many times... although not as much as the one with their first date and, well, a buncha others). Gah, it has made me want them to get back together so much. It's sad. But i just love that show.

Hey, uhhhmmmm, i hate school! I had twoooo tests today, but at least they're over with, and i had to go to the dentist (to get a cavity filled! eck.), but they were really nice there and made me feel better (although my tooth hurts now).
AND my art teacher is the devil. Lucifer himself, except female. She hated the one piece i really was proud of, which made me just horribly upset, and liked the one i hated. I swear, i take her criticisms too personally, but art itself really is personal, so when she insults it, it's like she's insulting me. She won't even let me show the piece i liked-- if i don't do something her way, i can't do it at all. Golly i didn't know that Ms.East has the only right opinion and everyone else is wrong. Well that puts things in perspective. 'I will become a mindless drone conforming to everyone else at your command, master! Aye aye!' FUCK THAT. If my art can't be my own, then i quit.

Oh, last night i had this weird dream (but, uh, all my dreams are weird). Me and my family were up north with some of my relatives, and we went to see Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. We got in the theater really late and we got really crappy seats, and the whole place was full. Then afterwards, we were at some outdoor covered stadium theater place, and we were watching some talk show thing on the stage below (we were up high in the seats). The third guest was Kevin Smith, and the whole crowd went absolutely nuts when he went on. He had to come down from up high in the seats, so he walked by us and we talked for a second-- he was really funny (well duh). After the show we wanted to go talk to him but couldn't, and then we saw some guy dressed like Bluntman and followed him. The end.

I finished Harry Potter today (i planned it just right so i would finish on the last day of summer, because during the year i have too much crap to do to read for recreation). OOOH, it was SO GOOD. I mean... just, awesome. And, like... great. I LOVE those books so much. But i'm sad because now i hafta ::sigh:: WAIT. Oh, it's painful.

They're rerunning the Leno with Bradley! Huzzah! I forgot that the Leno they re-air at 2 am is the ep. from a week earlier. See? Staying up far too late has its benefits. :)
As a side-note, you know practically every time i say 'Bradley', i say "Mucho gusto me llamo Brad-LEE" from Sublime's 'Caress Me Down'. Isn't that funny? Yeah. I have all these weird little connections i make in my head with all sorts of things. Yep.

So, hey, ya know what? I love Harry Potter. (haha, betcha didn't see THAT one coming) Every chapter i read, i just love it more and more... It's true! I'm a dork! But a cooooooool dork.
I really gotta do some art. Maybe i'll get inspired tomorrow and work nonstop till next Wednesday when school starts (!!!). One can only hope. Or maybe, i'll invent a time machine, and go back in time, and get to do the summer over again, and then i'll have more time, to waste! Hurrah!
Do you know what? I've been having salads for dinner for the past... 5 days, i think. ME! Salads! Unbelievable. You understand, I NEVER eat salad, let alone have it as a meal. But my cholesterol is kinda high from my medicine, so i'm (shudder to use this word) dieting. Ha! ME! Dieting! The only reason i suppose i am capable of this is because Mom is making the food for me. But i'm actually thinking more about what i'm eating. It's so very strange.
I've also played solitaire about 20 times today, including a new kind Mom taught me, and learned how to shuffle the right way. Am i turning into an old woman? Salad, iced tea, and solitaire. Wow.

So today we watched the James Dean movie on TNT, and Pollock (we hadn't planned on watching both, but James Dean was just on, and Pollock is due back at the video store tomorrow). They were actually quite similar - both life stories, both dysfunctional artists, both died in car crashes... it was really depressing. And the weird thing is, watching the Making Of special on the Pollock DVD, at the end, one of the guys said that Pollock was "the James Dean of the art world". No kidding! Freaky.
I also caught part of Singin' in the Rain earlier, which was very nice. I love Gene Kelly. AND the Conan episode of SNL was on! I've been waiting to see that for so long. Yeah!

Ahh, i had quite the interesting time at the library today with two of my friends. We saw my art teacher (the heinous bitch from hell) there checking out books. She didn't notice us, and to make sure she didn't, we ran outside very inconspicuously, and hid behind my car. She was parked kind of close to us, so we had to sort of relocate ourselves around the car as she drove away so she wouldn't see us. But it took her forever to actually get in her truck and leave, and being as we couldn't see her and didn't want to risk getting up and looking, every time a car drove by we crab-walked around to hide more, then saw that it wasn't her, and had to move back. It was the most hilarious thing. It was really funny though, because just a minute before she walked in the library past us, we were talking about how horrible she is. We didn't even really notice her when she came in, and then Amber was like 'that kinda looks like it could be Ms.East', and i turned around and looked and said 'yeah... OH MY GOD, it IS her!!'. It was both terrifying and hilarious.
Driving to the library was nice, because they played Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" on the radio (every day at 4:20 is Mandatory Marley! I just found that out today!) and i just turned it up really loud and it made me very happy.

Ahh, one last thing before bed. I was flipping channels tonight, and started watching this one show called Night Visions. It's two different short stories in one hourlong episode (yay! for short attention spans!). It was actually really good (the first one was pretty sad and interesting, and the one with Bridget Fonda creeped me out), except for Henry Rollins (why the hell is he the host? he's awful.) Anyhow, yeah, it was entertaining, and rather Twilight Zone-esque, which is cool.

Have i mentioned lately how much i love Harry Potter? Well, i do. I keep wanting to read more, but i don't want to finish this book yet because after that, i hafta wait for the next one! So far i've just been reading them non-stop because we had all of them already, now i'm gonna hafta WAIT. It sooks. And then, when they're done, it's gonna soooook even more! I mean, sure, i can reread them forever, but it's just so much more fun when you don't know what's coming. Sigh.

So, i went to the art store today. Errrr, yesterday (i just post too damn late at night, don't i?). I got a couple of tubes of paint (I finally own some Green Gold! my favorite color ever. Don't ask why, i just have this weird obsession with it... i first discovered it in art class, and whenever anybody asks what color they should use i yell at them "Green Gold!"). Some other stuff too, but not a whole lot. It's too damn difficult to pick out stuff in a huge art store unless you're looking for something specific, because there's SO much you could get, but you don't even know if you'll use it. I hate artists. Too damn... artsy. I have decided to not become an artist. I will be an ice cream tester!

Godammit. Battlebots is on Comedy Central. That show annoys the crap outta me. Just like Jon Stewart and Janeane Garofalo were talking about last night on the Daily Show, they cancelled Upright Citizen's Brigade and started showing Battlebots. Wise decision? I think not. Boo.
Saw Rush Hour 2 today (we just rented the first one a couple days ago), extremely entertaining. Dude, i have seen too many Jackie Chan movies. I love the bloopers at the end, those are all hilarious. Ahhh, got to see the Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back trailer again too, that's gonna be great. I've said it before, i'll say it again, Kevin Smith is awesome.

Oh, i saw Planet of the Apes a couple days ago... it was decent, but not the best. Awesome makeup, Helena Bonham Carter is great, and ya gotta love Marky Mark.
I also saw Dogma the other day. GREAT movie. Alanis Morissette as God was just classic, and the whole cast was just awesome. Kevin Smith is the best.
Just got back from Universal again too... it rained! :( Not a lot of time at Islands of Adventure (ahhh, i got my fix of Spidey!), but a whole day at Universal and my feet hurt (every time i say that i start singing MxPx 'do your feet hurt' in my head). Good times.
